Activity’s Information

During all year long, the sand, the beach and its turquoise sea will invite the tourist to practice the healthiest outdoor activities, such as a relaxing strolling by the beach of almost 4km long, visit the antique painting murals nearby, or adventuring yourself into snorkeling, scuba diving or kayaking. All surrounded by a beautiful landscape and a fresh breeze.

The sport fishing is one of the main attractions of the region. The name of “Punta Pescadero” comes from this activity, since these waters posses a great deal of marine fauna. Another activity fun choice recommended is the cruise tour on the ocean.

Fishing
Bill fishing boats are available for bill fishing (marlin, sailfish) at the hotel. Equipment and bait are extra. You need to make reservations the night before you go. You can go for a full or 3/4 day. Boats take 2-6 people. Lunch can be provided by the hotel. Remember to bring plenty of sun protection.

Rock Fishing
Many fish are caught off the rocks right in front of the hotel on light tackle. Standard rock fishing techniques can be used - casting or still fishing. Small lures, plastic squid, bait, cheese, bread - almost anything will attract rock fish which can be taken to the kitchen to make fresh delightful ceviche for the cocktail hour.

Swimming
Choose between our fresh water pool adjacent to the cantina or a rejuvenating dip in the sea. Sea temperatures range from 85 degrees in fall to 68 degrees in the spring.

Snorkeling and Scuba Diving
The rocks offshore reveal a teeming underwater life of fascinating flora and fauna spanning the spectrum of the rainbow. No wet suits needed here in the comfort of our warm sea.

Boating
Guests may explore the waters around our point in canoes or kayakes. Pangas are also available.

3500' Paved Air Strip
Our own 3500' paved air strip makes it easy to fly in with your own plane. We have a run up pad, and tie downs. We monitor 122.8, our position is 23-47'53" N, 109-42'20" W. Our identifier is PPC. We do not have avgas. Most of our pilots clear customs in Loreto.
